Metro Nova Creative Awarded Website Contracts Through Virginia CARES Act

SWaM - Small, Women and Minority Owned

Small Business Websites Provided for Local Businesses

Winning a state government contract for website design is a significant achievement that involves a competitive bidding process, adherence to stringent requirements, and demonstrating expertise in creating accessible, user-friendly, and secure websites. Metro Nova Creative has continuously shown over time why we’re a trusted source for web design in the state of Virginia. That’s why when a CARES Act program was made available through a federal grant awarded to George Mason University, our firm was able to secure the prime position on the state contract dispersed by our local SBDC.

Susan Ball, the Director of UMW SBDC had this to say about the program. The CARES Act money received by the UMW SDBC required us to provide new services that are not part of our “normal” client services. Many of our clients needed to enter the e-commerce market or expand their e-commerce platforms.  We reached out to Metro Nova Creative to create e-commerce platforms for these clients.  Seven businesses were assisted by Metro Nova through this program.

This grant money was instrumental in driving our local economy and letting small businesses develop their brand in a professional way. The grant covered the costs of the website build plus a maintenance contract so the business owner could be operational and have some support for their new website.

Here are some of the projects Metro Nova Creative was able to execute for this program

A Local Art School

Metro Nova Creative created a website for My Art Scene, a place where people interested in the creative arts can come together to learn and create.

Business Consulting

Our team were able to build a consulting website for a Fredericksburg business consultant that focused on HR and systems planning.

Popcorn Retail Store Website

We custom built a website for a local popcorn retailer located right here on William street in downtown Fredericksburg.

Educational Charity Website Design

Metro Nova Creative custom built a website for this local non-profit that includes a check out system for local teachers to use who need volumes of books for their studends.

Health and Lifestyle Brand Website

Better 4 You Juices located in Fredericksburg had us build an e-commerce website to help with sales of their home made juices.

Having the opportunity to work with so many local SWaM certified businesses was a great pleasure and an inspiring opportunity. Metro Nova Creative is thankful to the SBDC for trusting us a preferred vendor and partner for logo design, website design, and marketing.
