Finding the Right Plugin for Your Website

Here at Metro Nova Creative, we go above and beyond for our clients. That means when we are presented with a problem, we do extensive research to find a solution. Take plugins for example. Finding the right plugin for a website is a common problem we face. For one of our clients, we needed to find a booking plugin for their website. We reviewed potential plugins based on five criteria: ratings, updates, features, pricing, and ease of use. Here’s how we broke it down.

Ratings

The first thing we looked at when researching plugins for our client was ratings and reviews for each plugin. Reviews from users can be extremely helpful, no matter what it is you are searching for. For this particular plugin, we only looked at ones with ⅗ stars or above.

Updates

Plugins should be updated regularly to resolve issues and keep your website safe. It’s like when you update your phone for new bug fixes. Updated plugins will also help keep your site running smoothly. With how quickly technology changes, you want to make sure the plugin you are using is compatible with the latest version of WordPress, or whatever software you are using.

Features

More features doesn’t always mean a better plugin. We look for features that will be useful for each client, which can look different for everyone. We determine what would be the most useful features for what our client needs.

Pricing

Pricing is definitely an important criteria to look at. While you might get an incredible plugin for a high price, it’s not accommodating to all budgets. We will keep in mind your budget needs, and find you the best bang for your buck!

Ease of Use

If the plugin will need to be used regularly by our clients, we want to make sure we’re providing a product that they’ll be able to work with and understand easily. We provide training once a website is complete so that the client can make their own edits if they prefer but if the plugin is too complicated or requires coding, we continue the search for the perfect match for their needs. Ease of use is incredibly important if your client will be more hands-on with their site.

After analyzing these criteria, we were able to find the right plugin that suited our clients needs. Let our dedicated professionals help you next! Contact us to get started today!
